Junior Strategic Procurement Manager (IT)

The position holder will actively contribute to the formulation, execution and evolution of procurement strategies related to locating, evaluating, contracting and maintaining the best sources of supply for IT services and products required by the IT department, while considering all aspects such as quality, value, performance, cost and the ability to respond quickly to changing supply requirements. You will take the ownership, responsibility and accountability for supplier and vendor selection and development. In doing so, you deliver ongoing and sustainable improvement on procurement cost in support of the SR Technics’ growth objectives and the IT department’s strategic and operational objectives respectively.

Your tasks

 

• Develop strong relationship with the cross functional team and suppliers, to be able to support the operational business needs and ensure availability


• Own the tendering process - running supplier biddings, RFI/RFPs & evaluating results for a supplier decision from a TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) concept, together with direct manager


• Negotiate commercial terms and conditions with Suppliers


• Maintain and update ERP system in relation to procurement information


• Monitor suppliers service levels to ensure compliance and uninterrupted availability


• Plan and initiate activities aiming to cost optimization and KPI improvement, according to priorities and targets


• Ensure all activities are conducted within the frame given by internal and external compliance guidelines


• Apply negotiation skills to resolve contractual supplier and vendor disputes with an acceptable outcome for the parties per compliance, policies, rules and regulations


• Monitor and track supplier and vendor performance through periodic financial reviews, product performance, customer satisfaction surveys, and customer outreach

Your profile

 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business administration


• At least 3 - 5 years relevant expertise in IT procurement, preferably in an international environment or complex organisation


• Ideally experience within supply chain environment


• Track record in IT procurement, preferably managing outsourced services


• Experience in S4/HANA is considered a plus


• Good understanding of the market and latest technologies


• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills required


• Good project management skills, result and deadline orientated


• Effective interpersonal skills for relationship management and problem solving


• Full professional proficiency in English, proficiency in German preferred
