• As director, you lead the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts – Social Work together with the members of the department management.
• The focus is on the further development of the Social Work area as well as the further expansion of the Health and Care area. Together with the staff, you position the department as an important partner for practice in Central Switzerland and beyond.
• This also includes the strategic orientation of the department, its financial management, ensuring efficient operations, as well as the professional and interdisciplinary development within the fourfold mandate.
• You take on diverse communication tasks: You represent the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and especially the Department of Social Work in the professional world and in relevant committees. As the "face" of HSLU – Social Work, you actively maintain relationships at the interface with the public and contribute to visibility as well as national and international positioning.
• As a member of the university management, you share responsibility for the entire Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.

• You have a university degree (PhD desired), preferably with a profile in Social Work or Nursing or the Social or Nursing Sciences.
• You bring several years of overall leadership experience, ideally in a university context or a related knowledge organization.
• Your thinking is entrepreneurial and resource-oriented.
• You can demonstrate experience in teaching and/or research and are networked in Social Work and/or the health sector as well as in the respective scientific communities.
• You have the ability to think holistically and in complex systems, recognize opportunities, translate ideas into viable concepts, and inspire others to achieve jointly defined goals.
• As an integral, authentic, and communicative person, you can quickly build relationships and network within the university community as well as with a wide range of stakeholders, involve different interest groups, negotiate skillfully, and appear convincingly.
