The Geriatrics and Geriatric Rehabilitation Service (Sylvana CUTR) of the Department of Medicine (DM) at CHUV, located on the Épalinges site, is looking for care and support aides (ASA) at an activity rate between 80% and 100%.
The starting date is scheduled for March 1, 2026, or to be agreed upon.
Context
The University Hospital of Vaud (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a major role in care, medical research, and education.
The Sylvana University Treatment and Rehabilitation Center (Sylvana CUTR) aims to:
- promote a rapid or made possible return home through appropriate care
- support patients in recovering their physical or cognitive abilities after illness or accident
- or assist them in adapting to a new health condition.
The mission of Sylvana CUTR fully aligns with the cantonal policy of home care maintenance.
The care is interdisciplinary, allowing support for patients as a whole, taking into account their living situation and environment.
Mission
- You participate in supporting and assisting patients in daily life activities
- You ensure the maintenance of care equipment and the patient’s environment
- You contribute to improving the quality and efficiency of care
- You participate, upon request and under delegation from the nurse, occupational therapist, or social worker, in animation activities
- You participate in continuous improvement processes, professional development, as well as self-evaluation and learning new skills.
Profile
- You hold a federal professional training certificate (AFP) as a care and support aide (mandatory)
- You are a committed, motivated, autonomous, and organized person
- You appreciate human contact and know how to build trust
- You have good listening skills, an excellent sense of teamwork, and a great capacity to adapt
- You have perfect mastery of spoken and written French (level C1)
