The Evangelical Regional Church of Thurgau is one of the medium-sized regional churches in Switzerland. The Evangelical Regional Church of the Canton of Thurgau is led by the Church Council as a supervisory, executive, and administrative authority. The chancellery with administrative management, treasury, and secretariat takes on the operational tasks of the regional church. Due to the retirement of the current position holder, we are looking for a Specialist in Finance and Accounting / Head of Accounting (Treasury) 80-100% workload starting April 1, 2026, or by agreement.

Your tasks:
- Management of the entire accounting of the regional church
- Preparation of the budget, financial plan, and annual financial statement
- Responsibility for the accounts payable and receivable process and financial personnel administration
- Calculation and processing of financial equalization contributions
- Management of the assets of the regional church according to general and special instructions from the
- Advising and training the financial officers of the church communities
- Auditing a sample selection of church community accounts
- Membership in the Finance Committee of the regional church
- Qualification as a specialist in finance and accounting or comparable training
- Knowledge of public accounting is an advantage
- Experience in public administration and HRM2 is an advantage
- Knowledge of Dynamics 365 Business Central (FIBU) is an advantage
- Knowledge of M365/SharePoint is desired
- Service-oriented and team-capable personality
- Conscientious, independent, and efficient working style with high quality standards

- Membership in a regional church is desired
