Rail Service Employee approx. 80% / Train Driver approx. 20%
What you can achieve
- Assistance with operational, maintenance, and repair work on the cog railway route as well as its infrastructure and equipment
- The following seasonal tasks await you: snow clearing, overhead line work, rock inspection, mowing, track maintenance, and repairs of the railway system
- Operating the new and modern passenger locomotives including freight transport, and diesel-electric multipurpose equipment (training to become a train driver of category B60 will be completed internally and during employment)
What distinguishes you
- Enjoy working in nature and mountains, in all weather conditions
- Completed vocational training in a craft profession in construction, forestry/agriculture, or similar
- Good surefootedness and unrestricted mobility in the mountains - sometimes also work on hanging ropes
- Good health and tolerance of large altitude differences, good hearing and vision (no color blindness)
- High flexibility regarding working hours and willingness to work on holidays and weekends
- Teamwork, independence, resilience, and a strong sense of responsibility
- Confident German in spoken and written form as well as oral English skills, additional foreign languages are an advantage
