Create a better #TomorrowWithUs
Do you want to help shape the future of the railway world together with us? At Siemens Mobility , we are the leading provider in the field of mobility and are constantly expanding our innovative portfolio, which includes rail vehicles, railway automation, electrification solutions, complete railway systems, and accompanying services. With around 800 specialists in Switzerland and 39,600 employees worldwide, we shape mobility with passion and are one step ahead of our time.
We have always been very innovative to make travel faster, safer, and more comfortable. Today, we need new solutions for future challenges such as climate change and the globally increasing population. That is what drives us. Are you ready for these new challenges?
You are primarily responsible for the conception and definition of blueprints for our predominantly Microsoft Windows-based systems, which are used by customers in the critical infrastructure environment of railway automation. With your solid experience, you ensure that these systems are not only designed to be performant and reliable but also optimally protected against cyber threats from the ground up. Your solid technical know-how and project management experience are crucial for the successful control and implementation of these demanding development projects.
Your new tasks:
- You plan and design robust system architectures for complex Microsoft, Linux, and network environments that meet the high demands in the railway environment.
- You implement security policies and standards for Microsoft and Linux systems and continuously adapt them to current threat situations and best practices.
- You design and monitor security configurations such as GPOs, endpoint protection, and patch management and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- You take responsibility for IT infrastructure and security development projects – from initial conception to handing over the blueprints to the implementation teams. You ensure that time, budget, and quality goals are met.
- You analyze security incidents, vulnerabilities, and threats, initiate appropriate measures for remediation, and develop preventive strategies.
- You automate security processes using scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Ansible) and manage our test lab systems to validate new concepts and security mechanisms.
Your talents and experience:
- Solid technical education (technical school/FH/university/ETH) or comparable professional experience in the field of computer science.
- Further training in system engineering or information security is an advantage, as well as knowledge in cloud computing.
- Several years of solid experience in system engineering as well as very good knowledge in the administration and securing of Microsoft Windows Server systems.
- Experience with automation (e.g., PowerShell, Ansible) and solid knowledge in network technologies, firewall configurations, and security gateways.
- Sense of responsibility, strong analytical skills, and a structured, solution-oriented way of working.
- High willingness to learn and motivation for continuous development.
- Customer and service orientation as well as fluent German and English skills.
You benefit from
- an open and flexible working culture at one of the leading companies in the field of mobility in Switzerland
- a 40-hour week with a 100% workload
- at least 5 weeks of vacation
- a workplace at the pulse of railway technology
- various employee discounts and training opportunities
- a hybrid working model: balanced work-life balance and more autonomy
