About the job

The Correctional Services Department, as the authority for admission and enforcement, is responsible for the execution of criminal sanctions. The goal of our work is the lawful enforcement of final judgments and penal orders as well as the recidivism-preventive support and supervision of persons who have committed offenses.

We are looking for a

Commercial Clerk Correctional Services 50%

starting May 1, 2026, or by arrangement, with the workplace in Glarus.

Tasks

Responsibility for the administration and organization of substitute custodial sentences
Preparation and coordination of penal requests in prison
Review, conclusion, and monitoring of installment payment agreements
Initiation of police notices
Written and telephone correspondence with clients as well as internal and external partners
Organization and conduct of hearings
Monitoring of enforcement and deadline controls as well as preparation of enforcement statistics in the area of substitute custodial sentences (EFS)
Administrative support of the department management
