Good for life– that is our motto. The Office for Youth and Career Counseling (AJB) is responsible for child and youth welfare as well as career counseling.
The career, study, and career guidance informs and advises young people and adults on all questions concerning education and training as well as profession and career. For biz Uster (Career Information Center), we are looking for a head 90% starting April 1, 2026, or by agreement.
You will lead biz Uster in professional, organizational, and personnel matters and report directly to the Head of the Career, Study, and Career Guidance Service Area (BSLB). You are also responsible for ensuring the services and participate in the cantonal offer development. In implementing the supply strategy, you work closely with the biz managements and the cantonal professional staff of career counseling. Your tasks also include networking with schools, authorities, local businesses, and the economy. Furthermore, you contribute to the implementation of the strategic organizational goals based on cantonal guidelines in the region.
You bring:
- a university or university of applied sciences degree (ideally in career, study, and career counseling)
- strategic thinking skills and understanding of processes in complex organizations and political systems
- proven leadership experience and management skills at the operational planning level
- leadership training is an advantage
- excellent communication skills and good negotiation skills
- joy in coaching and promoting employees
- high social competence, decisiveness, and assertiveness
