We are the Foundation for Blind and Visually Impaired Children and Youth Zollikofen - a private, politically and denominationally neutral organization with a non-profit objective. Our task is to support and accompany people with special needs from birth to young adulthood. We offer additional services to parents, teachers of public regular schools and special elementary schools, as well as to professionals. Our core competencies lie in the support and accompaniment of young people with visual impairment, blindness, multiple disabilities, or from the autism spectrum. In our vision pedagogical service, we are looking for support for a child with blindness in cycle 1 starting August 2026

Tasks

You accompany and support a child with blindness in everyday school life in collaboration with our specialist and the teachers on site. This enables the integration of the child in kindergarten and relieves the teachers. Specifically, you accompany and support the child, for example, in social contacts, playing, work organization, learning processes, and everyday kindergarten life, e.g., on the way to the gym, changing clothes, forest mornings, or during breaks.

Requirements

You enjoy and have experience working with children and have an interest in educational and blindness-specific topics. You are empathetic, responsive to others, and can express yourself very well in German. You have manual skills, are used to working with different people, and remain calm even in hectic situations. A strong sense of responsibility and willingness to further educate yourself in blindness-specific issues complete your profile.

We offer

An interesting and varied activity awaits you. Our culture is characterized by appreciation and openness. We carefully introduce you to the task and the field and offer continuous exchange with our specialist. The employment conditions are based on cantonal guidelines. Working hours are during the regular school term, i.e., time off during school holidays. Working days are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings, and possibly one afternoon. The workplace is in Boll. The hourly wage is gross CHF 30.-.
