The Salome Brunner Foundation is committed to around 300 children and young people with speech development disorders and learning difficulties. With our various schools, we see ourselves as an important part of the educational landscape of the Canton of Bern. The Wabern Speech Therapy School is a special public school for children and young people with a complex speech development disorder as well as an intellectual disability and comprises 21 classes from the primary level to the vocational preparation school year (BVS). Small classes allow for addressing the individual needs of the students. Speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy are provided as individual therapies. Tasks

- You teach 14 lessons according to LP21, together with a school assistant or another special education teacher, usually in pairs. - The class consists of 7 children between 7 and 10 years old. - All children are affected by speech impairments and a cognitive impairment. - Working days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Wednesday can also be moved to Thursday or Friday morning.

Requirements

- Completed studies in school special education or a teaching diploma, preferably with teaching experience in the special education field - Joy and interest in working with children with special needs in the areas of language, communication, behavior, and learning - Interest in interdisciplinary collaboration and mutual support - You have an idea of individualized teaching and how to handle challenging situations. - Open, team-oriented, and flexible
