The Chair of Corporate Finance specializes in research topics related to corporate finance and governance as well as household finance using empirical archival research designs. Student assistants will contribute to and be fully integrated in a larger research project on the measurement of corporate governance and data quality in corporate governance research. The data collected may also be used to write a bachelor or master thesis at the Chair of Corporate Finance subsequent to or overlapping with the research assistant position. The working period should begin as soon as possible and last for at least one semester.
Your tasks
- Research assistance with data collection that contributes to a corporate governance research project.
- Specifically, the research assistant will cross-check data from different data sources and manually collect data when databases disagree.
Your profile
- Excellent grades in your bachelor and, if applicable, master studies in finance, economics, or business
- High personal motivation
- Independent and responsible work ethics
- Excellent English language skills (all data sources exist in English only)
- Basic programming skills in Stata (preferred), R, or Python
