Training of apprentices:

• At Kibe Plus, we place great importance on the training of apprentices. Currently, around 70 apprentices are completing their training at Kibe Plus.

Internship:

• The internship offers the opportunity to get to know the profession of childcare specialist under professional guidance.

Our open positions

The daycare center Mirabu in Urtenen-Schönbühl is looking for a childcare specialist 50 – 70% starting October 1, 2025, or by arrangement.

Your tasks

• Individual care, support, and guidance of the children in everyday life
• Constructive collaboration with the team
• Co-designing the daily and weekly planning

What you bring

• Completed vocational training as a childcare specialist EFZ or equivalent training
• Initiative and independent working style
• Flexibility, resilience, and a strong sense of responsibility

For our daycare centers in the municipalities of Belp, Grosshöchstetten, Köniz, Matten b. Interlaken, Münsingen, Ostermundigen, and Urtenen-Schönbühl, we are looking for committed and interested interns.

In our daycare centers, we care for children from three months to kindergarten age. We place great value on a child-friendly daily routine with activities and free play. Additionally, we spend a lot of time outdoors in nature.

• Performing various household tasks

In our daycare centers, the well-being of the children is the focus. Every child should be able to develop individually, according to their needs. They are accompanied and supported by qualified staff.

We offer civil service placements in our daycare centers in the municipalities of Belp, Grosshöchstetten, Köniz, Matten b. Interlaken, Münsingen, Ostermundigen, and Urtenen-Schönbühl. The placement lasts at least 4 months, but shorter placements are also possible.

Childcare in a day family is very personal and individual. Small groups, stability, and strong relationships are the strengths of this form of care.

As a day family, you make an important social contribution by caring for one to five children in your family. We support you with professional advice, coaching, and basic and further training courses.

What you bring

• Interest and joy in children as well as educational and family work
• Experience in education
• Time and space for one or more day children
• A sufficiently large and child-friendly apartment and environment
• Openness, empathy, flexibility, tolerance, and assertiveness
• Sense of responsibility and reliability
• Physical and mental health
• Ability to set boundaries
• Willingness to communicate and compromise
• Good German language skills (B2)
• As a foreigner, a residence permit B or C

Your tasks

• Open your family to day children
• Support the children in their development (motor, language, social)
• Provide a structured daily routine (eating, resting, moving, playing)
• Enter into a regular commitment
• Collaborate with parents and Kibe Plus
• Willingness to participate in basic and further training in the field of day childcare

What our employees say

In my job, I appreciate the versatility of the tasks. I am always excited about how diverse the work is, which is divided into project work, parent work, personnel management, and planning, etc. The work also includes very challenging activities, such as accompanying young people into the working world. This is rounded off by the fact that I can accompany, care for, and individually support the children in the group.

It is particularly important to me to ensure quality, to create a pleasant and family-like atmosphere together with the team and the children, to convey and implement pedagogical values. In this way, we support the children in developing into positive, empathetic, and self-determined personalities.

Accompanying and supporting in the various developmental phases, as well as the pronounced imagination, make working with the daycare children very exciting, unique, and sometimes challenging. My tasks include, among other things, the holistic care of the children, parent work, and administrative tasks. I also accompany an apprentice in the second year of training. The very committed and dynamic team ensures professional care and creates a top workplace for me. Through Kibe Plus, I am supported with further training and workshops and have a very extensive exchange with other daycare centers.

It is great to care for children, to observe and accompany them on their way. It is impressive how much one can learn from the children. Through the children, I gain a different and perhaps more sensitive perception of the environment. They teach me to be curious, to see the world through different eyes, and of course, to stay active.

I greatly appreciate the close support in my training. I am heard and involved. It is nice to know that I can complete my training as a childcare specialist in a competent company.
