Key information about the position:
Reference: CLS/RH/2026.735 / Contract type: Permanent contract at 100% / Hours: Monday to Friday: time range from 6:30 am earliest to 9:00 pm latest depending on shift + 1 to 2 weekends per month on average: time range from 6:45 am earliest to 7:00 pm latest depending on shift / Start date: as soon as we find the right person / Location: in the heart of Lausanne (M2 stop "Riponne" or Bus 2, 3 or 21 stop "Beaulieu-Jomini")
Why do we need you?
We are looking for a Head Waiter to strengthen the restaurant service and support the hotel assistants. This unique position combines restaurant service, participation in internal events, coordination of the Kiosk, and room service order taking for patients, offering a varied and stimulating experience with a direct impact on the comfort and satisfaction of our patients.
What will you be expected to do?
Head Waiter
- Welcome, advise and ensure the well-being of patients and visitors consuming at the Veranda
- Serve food and drinks at the table to Veranda customers, in patient rooms, and during banquets and receptions
- Ensure the opening or closing of the restaurant
- Manage and control the cash register
- Carry out various setups during banquets according to instructions
- Order, from the hotel storeroom and kitchen, the goods necessary for the smooth running of the service, check deliveries and set up
- Apply food hygiene and quality standards
- Manage sales of flowers and kiosk items
- Clean the provided work equipment and participate in daily and monthly cleanings
Hotel Assistant
- Take computerized meal orders from hospitalized patients, while trying to best understand their desires and expectations or according to prescribed diets
- Check patient meal chains in the kitchen
- Take visitor meal orders and handle their billing
- Transmit production sheets to the kitchen
Who will you work with?

Essentials:
- Experience in room service and catering
- Very good professional skills especially for plated service and banquet service
- Comfortable with common computer tools
- At ease to meet patients in their rooms to take orders while providing attentive and personalized service
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to varied tasks
- Versatility to fully contribute to the service and well-being of customers and patients
Your assets:
- Training in hospitality
- Experience in luxury hospitality or health institute
