Tax Commissioner Inheritance and Gift Tax 80 - 100%Welcome to the fascinating world of taxes! The cantonal tax office, together with the municipal tax offices, collects taxes for the federal government, the canton, and the municipalities. We support private individuals and companies throughout the entire tax collection process. Around 800 qualified employees are committed to this at the location in Zurich Altstetten.
In the estate department, the assessment of inheritance and gift taxes as well as the assessment of ordinary taxes related to deaths takes place in particular. You can further specialize in tax law and rely on a competent network for questions. We are looking for the right reinforcement for our team from July 1, 2026, or by arrangement.
Tasks
- Examination and assessment of tax returns of deceased persons
- Assessment of inheritance and gift taxes, including the preparation and control of real estate and company valuations
- Assessment of supplementary wealth taxes
- Processing of ruling requests
- Professional contact person for inquiries from heirs, heirs' representatives, and executors as well as professional advice to the assigned municipal tax offices
- Representation of the Canton of Zurich in legal remedy proceedings
Profile
- Several years of experience in the field of taxes and/or
- Advanced professional training in finance and accounting, fiduciary or as a business economist HF or successfully completed bachelor's degree, ideally in business administration or law or similar qualifications
- Independent and responsible working style as well as high decision-making and analytical skills
- Convincing appearance and empathy
- Very good written and oral communication skills in German
