About the job
The Security and Operational Training Service (SiET) is responsible for high-quality, needs-based training and further education for all employees of the Bern Cantonal Police. It promotes the acquisition, development, and maintenance of key competencies in areas such as shooting, tactics, personal safety, basic life support/tactical emergency medicine, order service, and bike police. The goal is practical empowerment for successful and professional task fulfillment in daily service.
Your tasks
Your main tasks include the following activities:
- Providing training and further education in the specialist areas of shooting, personal safety, tactics, basic life support/tactical emergency medicine, order service, and bike police
- Teaching at the police schools in Hitzkirch and Ittigen as well as in other police courses
- Providing further training modules within the Bern Cantonal Police and in the four police regions
Your profile
- Police officer with a federal specialist certificate and several years of police service experience, as well as mandatory proven activity as a trainer
- Enjoyment of training activities and willingness to further education in adult education (SVEB 1), in the five relevant specialist areas, as well as obtaining the category D1 driving license
- Above-average social and self-competence, loyal appearance in the sense of A+W - ability for networked thinking as well as independent, structured, and responsible working style
- Strong team skills with cooperative, appreciative interaction and good spoken French skills desired
