About the job
Intraocular Lenses
Intraocular lenses are made from biocompatible polymers. They are implanted in place of the natural eye lens in the respective lens capsule and remain there permanently.
The lenses are very well tolerated. For each patient, the correct lens power is determined before the operation using special measurement methods.
The monofocal (standard) lens
The lens allows clear vision after the operation.
It also enables sharp distance vision without glasses, provided there is no corneal astigmatism.
For near distances, glasses are still required.
The monofocal lens with aspherical optics
This lens features aspherical optics, which allow better visual performance in poor lighting conditions (e.g., driving at night).
The further advantages of the monofocal lens with aspherical optics
It is made from a hydrophobic material of the latest generation. This material reduces the occurrence of "posterior capsule opacification" and remains crystal clear for a lifetime.
For patients who choose this lens, additional preliminary examinations are carried out, among other things, to enable the most accurate calculation of the lens power possible.
The associated additional costs for this lens and the related preliminary examinations are charged privately to the patient (CHF 190.– per eye).
Refractive premium lenses as a sustainable alternative to monofocal (standard) lenses
Even after the implantation of a monofocal lens, wearing glasses for near distances is necessary – and in the case of existing corneal astigmatism, also for sharp distance vision. Refractive premium lenses represent the alternative to monofocal lenses and usually allow you a life free of glasses. This applies even in the case of existing corneal astigmatism.
