Lawyer specialized in labor law (public sector)

Your mission
Advise, under the supervision of the head of the legal department, the Presidency, the General Management, Human Resources and the governing bodies on legal issues related to labor law, ensuring legal compliance and protecting the company's interests. Analyze internal legal needs and propose appropriate solutions that may influence strategy and processes. If necessary, coordinate the use of external experts for specialized advice or litigation procedures.

Your main responsibilities
• Provide increased support to the Human Resources area in the legal follow-up of personnel files or on the application of the status and its regulations as well as in collective labor law,
• manage, if necessary, with the support of counsel, litigation and in particular judicial litigation in labor law (public sector),
• provide legal opinions on questions related to labor law (application of the LTr and its ordinances, social insurance law, labor relations in the public sector, LDT / OLDT, etc.),
• contribute to legislative and case law monitoring in labor law,
• comment on all legal documents concerning labor law and/or personnel status,
• participate in the implementation of procedures and internal training.

Your profile
• Master’s degree in law with specialization in labor law and social insurance,
• Bar certificate with FSA specialization in labor law, an asset,
• at least 3 years of professional experience in public labor law in a law firm or administration,
• knowledge of judicial practice of Geneva courts, especially cantonal case law in labor law,
• practice in administrative and public law, an asset,
• knowledge of the LTr. Knowledge of the LDT and OLDT, an asset,
• knowledge of data protection, an asset,
• writing and verbal skills to express oneself clearly and logically,
• ability to integrate into a team and collaborate interdisciplinarily,
• interpersonal skills, ease and flexibility, practical sense,
• strict respect for confidentiality rules,
• communication skills and ability to simplify complex concepts,
• excellent knowledge of the French language,
• knowledge of German and English: an asset.
