Helpers on an hourly wage on call with native language French, Kurdish, Russian, Turkish, Ukrainian

The Swiss Red Cross Canton Zurich fulfills important humanitarian tasks in the areas of health, social integration, and migration. On behalf of the Integration Office Canton Zurich, we are responsible for implementing the pilot project SPIRIT. We work closely with the University Hospital Zurich.

At SPIRIT, short interventions "Problem Management Plus" (PM+) developed by the WHO are carried out. The goal of SPIRIT is to improve the mental health of refugees as well as their access to healthcare. More information about SPIRIT can be found at: Mental Health for Refugees | SRC Zurich

We are looking for immediately helpers on an hourly wage on call with native language French, Kurdish, Russian, Turkish, Ukrainian

Your tasks as a helper are:

active participation in the 8-day training including 6 supervisions, independent organization and implementation of 2 practice cases, passing the competency test and the refresher course (1 day)
conducting PM+ interventions with refugees in your native language
participation in at least six supervisions per year
organizational and administrative tasks
assistance in reaching the target group

You bring with you:

ongoing or completed university studies and/or experience in a social profession
native language French, Kurdish, Russian, Turkish, or Ukrainian
very good German skills (level C1)
strong social skills, ability to reflect, and independence
willingness to work throughout the canton of Zurich
you have lived in the Zurich area for a long time and know Zurich well
you have a residence permit C, B, F, or S and have migration or refugee experience

You can expect:

a qualified training in PM+ according to WHO standards
practical work in a pioneering field of mental health promotion
collaboration with a diverse, interdisciplinary, and appreciative team

The activity as a helper is a secondary occupation (5-40%). Your assignments depend on the demand for PM+ interventions. A minimum number of interventions cannot be guaranteed. Interested? Then we look forward to your complete online application with photo.
