Class and annual salary (including 13th month):
11 93'348.-- / 150'736.--
Tasks:
- plans and coordinates the work in their sector responsible for user support, enhancement of archival collections, legal deposit of printed materials, and management of library collections.
- coordinates the work of a small team
- coordinates promotion and enhancement activities of the archive
- promotes collaboration and research activities of the archive
- coordinates digitization activities of the archival heritage with the scanning service
- adapts the archive's offerings to user needs
- notifies management of access requests to collections for which access is not free
- responsible for the reading room and user relations
- monitors activities related to the legal deposit of printed materials and management of library collections
Requirements:
- bachelor + master in history or a humanities subject
- training or several years of experience in the archival field
- experience in public contact and enhancement in the archival field
- in-depth knowledge of Ticino history
- excellent knowledge of Italian and good knowledge of at least one other official language (spoken and written)
- willingness to participate in archival activities beyond the Gotthard region
- enjoyment in cultural mediation work, communication, and event organization
- high social skills and public orientation
- interest in digitization topics
- knowledge in library science or willingness to undergo training in this field is a preferred qualification
Special remarks:
- if the candidate does not have training and/or several years of experience in the archival field, they must guarantee availability to participate in a CAS in Archival Science at a Swiss university or university of applied sciences within three years. In this case, the employment relationship will be regulated by contract according to art. 15 and 16 LORD pending completion of the training

Employment conditions:
- appointment or contract: as provided by the Law on the Organization of State Employees and Teachers of March 15, 1995 (LORD) and the related Regulation. Any changes in law concerning salary and organization are explicitly reserved
- working hours: 42 hours per week (for a 100% employment relationship), flexible or according to service needs
