Responsibilities
At the earliest possible date, we are looking for you as an Engineer: District Management of Infrastructure Facilities of the Roadway (m/f/d) for DB InfraGO AG at the location Basel.
Your tasks:
You are responsible for ensuring the timely, professional, and efficient execution of maintenance according to the state of the art and the relevant regulations as well as within the assigned budget.
In doing so, you ensure that the maintenance of the infrastructure facilities is carried out efficiently and with high quality - in line with the standardized production system maintenance (SPI) as well as the OPEX and Lean principles.
You lead the employees of your team both professionally and disciplinarily, set an example, and establish the guidelines for successful collaboration.
You always keep an eye on the budget and monitor the timely, quality, and budget-compliant execution of infrastructure measures.
As the responsible person for the facilities, you conduct inspections and approvals, evaluate and document the results, and derive follow-up measures if necessary.
You act proactively and report early needs for maintenance and investment measures (annual and multi-year planning).
In addition, you manage all important resources, such as personnel, materials, equipment, logistics, and are responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety-related measures (e.g., occupational, fire, and environmental protection) in your area of responsibility.
In emergencies and/or other on-call duties, you are reachable and actively participate.
Qualifications
Your profile:
The foundation of your success is a successfully completed degree in civil engineering or a comparable qualification or your passed career examination according to the regulations of the Federal Career Regulation.
You have successfully completed the qualification as a district manager, ideally with facility responsibility.
Alternatively, you are willing to undergo the qualification in about two years with nationwide seminars that always take place during the week.
Ideally, you have initial operational work experience in the railway/infrastructure sector.
As a driver, waiting is not your thing: You bring horsepower to the tracks, are not afraid to take responsibility for your decisions, and can assert your ideas even against resistance.
You can communicate your point of view appropriately, find well-founded arguments, and convince others of your ideas - with the right mix of willingness to compromise and persistence.
You are committed to team success: You can define clear goals, work organized and independently towards their achievement, and support your team in optimally fulfilling the tasks.
You have a valid driver's license of class B and the necessary health suitability (will be checked during the application process).
