The city of Langenthal forms the center of the Bernese Oberaargau with a catchment area of around 80,000 people and, with around 16,300 inhabitants, is the eighth largest municipality in the canton of Bern.
At the public school of the city of Langenthal, around 1,700 students are taught in five school centers. For the Upper Secondary Center, its 50-60 teachers and around 500 students, we are looking for a professionally and personally convincing personality as part of the succession planning for the 2026/2027 school year.

Tasks
• You assume the pedagogical, operational-business, and personnel overall responsibility of the Upper Secondary Center Langenthal within the framework of cantonal and municipal laws and regulations.
Requirements
• You have experience in the school sector in a heterogeneous environment and have completed school management training.
• You bring several years of practical experience in a leadership role.
• Furthermore, you are a balanced and forward-looking, solution-oriented personality with assertiveness and high social competence, who approaches change and development processes with motivation and implements them purposefully.
• You appreciate working in a diverse, urban environment and bring openness to different perspectives.
• As a personality, you have communication and teamwork skills as well as flexibility.
• Your leadership style is characterized by participation, transparency, personal responsibility, and trust, thus contributing to the further development of the public school Langenthal.
