As a part of the Finance Department, you will play a critical role in both the daily financial activities as well the strategic decision-making that comes with running a disruptive business.
This internship is an excellent opportunity for finance-oriented candidates with a passion for entrepreneurship to take a proactive role in administrative and management tasks.
The Finance Assistant plays a crucial role in Akselos’s smooth operations. Their main responsibility is to assist the Finance & Operations Manager with financial, legal, and general business administration tasks. They will be given the opportunity to lead various projects to improve the company’s processes.
Main tasks:
1) Managerial Reporting
- Calculating and analyzing KPIs for internal and external stakeholders,
- Assisting with preparing the annual budget,
- Analyzing and reporting on financial statements to enable decision-making,
- Auditing and reporting on company and employee expenses;
2) Accounting
- Managing and tracking accounts payable,
- Managing and tracking accounts receivable,
- Auditing corporate credit card statements,
- Keeping the company’s books using Netsuite (accounting software commonly used in SMEs);
3) Legal
- Assisting with legal document and contract review
- Assisting in drafting and enforcing company policies
4) Projects
- Work and lead various new add-on projects
- Implement new finance tools
- Work with different departments to enhance finance processes
We are looking for you if you are:
- Currently enrolled in a university in either a Bachelors's or Master course in Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field
Professional experience:
- Preferably, prior work experience in Finance, Accounting, or Administration is a plus.
- Motivated and open to the dynamic startup environment.
