For the next phase of development, we are exclusively seeking a personality as Senior Accountant who, with entrepreneurial thinking, expertise and enthusiasm for shaping, contributes to continuing the success story of Howden Switzerland.
Your challenge
- Financial Statements & Accounting
- You take responsibility for monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and ensure they are prepared cleanly, correctly and on time
- You ensure correct postings according to Swiss GAAP FER and IFRS and apply your expertise in financial statements specifically to more complex issues
- You support tax, management accounting and reporting topics and ensure a reliable financial data basis
- Process Development & Integration
- You contribute to the centralisation and harmonisation of accounting processes and systematically advance existing procedures
- You optimise interfaces with internal departments such as HR, Controlling, FP&A and other specialist units
- You support the integration of acquired companies and help to sustainably unify structures, processes and standards
- Deputy Role & Development Perspective
- You support the Head of Accounting in daily operations and take responsibility as a reliable deputy
- You actively contribute to the further development of the team and ensure that operational quality and pragmatic solutions come together
In short: In this role, you combine operational expertise in financial statements with process understanding, enjoyment of working with people and enthusiasm for shaping. You ensure that the numbers are correct, processes function and Howden Switzerland’s accounting keeps pace with growth.
Your qualities and talents
- You have a qualification as a Swiss federally certified expert in accounting and controlling or as a fiduciary expert with a strong accounting and financial statement focus
- You bring at least five years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in a corporate environment or a comparably complex organisation (> 150 employees)
- Monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to Swiss GAAP FER and IFRS are part of your professional routine
- You have very good Excel skills and experience with Abacus
- You enjoy process optimisation, harmonisation and the further development of accounting structures
- Experience with more complex cost centre, location or branch structures is a great advantage
- You work precisely, pragmatically and solution-oriented and gladly take responsibility within the team
- You have native-level German skills, speak very good English; French skills are a plus
