Specialist Nurse: Outpatient Care

The Cardiology/Vascular Medicine department combines the clinics of Cardiology, Angiology, and Cardio-/Vascular Surgery. Patients with vascular diseases are referred to the Interdisciplinary Centre for Vascular Interventions (IZI) for diagnosis and treatment and are jointly cared for by interventional vascular specialists. We offer the full spectrum of non-cardiological, peripheral vascular procedures with a 24-hour service.

What to expect

• Preparing patients for various interdisciplinary procedures
• Caring for and monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures
• Sterile assistance to medical staff during procedures, including coordination
• Taking on emergency on-call duties (on average five times per month)
• Analysing complex patient situations and supporting and advising team members on nursing matters
• Ensuring nursing quality in an interdisciplinary department in collaboration with nursing specialists

What you bring

• Diploma in nursing, supplemented by a nursing-specific CAS or DAS qualification
• At least one year of professional experience, preferably in an acute hospital
• High social competence and good communication skills
• Skill and enjoyment in handling medical devices
• Committed, flexible, and resilient personality with an independent and team-oriented working style
