A total of around 120 people work at the headquarters in Muttenz near Basel and the subsidiaries in Beijing, Shanghai and Mumbai. To support our sales team at our headquarters in Muttenz/BL we are looking for an Project Engineer
for international projects
As a project engineer in international plant engineering, you will support the project managers from basic design to acceptance and handover of the plant to the customer and will be responsible for all technical matters. You are enthusiastic about plant engineering in the chemical sector. You find it exciting to accompany a project from start to finish and to be the contact person for all technical matters both internally and with suppliers. Main tasks
- Clarifications with internal departments (design, process development, control technology, logistics, purchasing, etc.) and suppliers (for detailed technical clarification)
- Responsibility for deadlines for certain sub-areas or assemblies of the project
- Organising internal status meetings
- Design and specification of instrumentation
- Creating specifications for technical equipment
- Supervision of construction and pipework planning, which is created by external partners
- Creating instrument, pipework and valve lists
- Occasional travelling to our international suppliers (max. 10% of working time)
- You have a technical education (mechanical engineer / technician / master chemist / or similar)
- Whether you have several years of experience in a similar field and environment (plant engineering) or are a newcomer is not so important. More important is your interest in working as a project engineer.
- You have a very good command of English (written/oral). All other languages are an advantage.
- You enjoy doing technical work yourself and can also handle routine tasks.
- You can represent decisions appropriately both internally and with suppliers.
- You enjoy working in an international environment with different cultures.
