Teacher Special Education in Schools

As a special education and German as a second language teacher, you are primarily responsible for the special education support of individual students with learning difficulties and/or special needs in the German language.

In indicated cases, you assess the need for support through diagnostic evaluation.

You work in two neighboring kindergartens.

You hold discussions with the teachers about possible measures in the classroom, which are either aimed at the class or the individual child.

On Friday mornings, you teach the class as a kindergarten teacher.

You are a contact person for school administrations to review, ensure, and further develop the handling of special educational needs.

You have a kindergarten teaching diploma.

You have completed training as a special education teacher or are currently in training for this.

You are an empathetic, communicative, and cheerful person who treats people with respect.

You actively participate in the special education professional team.

You maintain open contact and a solution-oriented collaboration with the teachers, support teachers, and parents.
