Located in the Vevey region, between city and
countryside, the Cité du Genévrier welcomes adults with
disabilities due to an intellectual deficiency. A multidisciplinary
and multi-site structure, it offers residents a particularly harmonious living and
working environment as well as a set of skills
adapted to the needs and aspirations of each individual.
Integrated into the Eben-Hézer Foundation, the Cité du Genévrier holds the moral testament of its founder, Sister Julie Hofmann. In this capacity, it considers the happiness of the residents as the ultimate goal of its actions.
Mission
The group « Le Châtaignier » is a living space that welcomes adults with moderate disabilities with associated disorders or psychiatric disorders; the majority of residents are autonomous in their mobility; communication aid tools play an important role in the support provided. The guiding principle of this group is oriented towards predictability. To complement the educational team, we are looking for a social educator (M/F).
Desired profile
Having a diploma as a social educator ES or HES or a specialized nursing diploma in psychiatry
Having proven experience in the field of intellectual disabilities and in managing psychiatric disorders is an asset
Being able to handle crisis situations and defuse conflict situations
Being involved, motivated, and passionate about your profession
Appreciating teamwork and having the ability to reflect on your practice
You master common computer tools, hold a driver's license, and are willing to work irregular hours including weekends.
