Tasks
The work of a baker-confectioner-pastry chef (specializing in bakery-confectionery) is characterized by its versatility. In the bakery, you learn the preparation of various types of dough such as yeast dough, shortcrust pastry, puff pastry, and sourdough, as well as baking different types of bread and rolls. In addition, you learn to make snacks such as empanadas, ham croissants, and individual items like beaver cakes, Linzer tarts, etc.
The confectionery is known for its sweet delicacies. Here you learn the craft of making cakes, 25 different pastries, baked goods, cakes, and much more. Your creativity is often required, especially when decorating/modeling cakes.
Additionally, you will also work in the confectionery and learn the craft of the chocolatier. This includes making pralines, chocolate bars, Easter bunnies, etc.
