With the GLS-Cockpit, the Real Estate Office of the Canton of Zurich operates a central platform for monitoring, alerting, and controlling numerous cantonal buildings. The application networks a wide variety of building automation systems and is continuously expanded. We are looking for an IT-savvy personality with building automation understanding as of January 1, 2026, or by arrangement, who ensures the application operation as an interface between users, technology, and suppliers and actively further develops it.
Your tasks:
- Ensuring the smooth operation of the GLS-Cockpit application (monitoring, error analysis, troubleshooting)
- First-level support for users and operators, including user and rights management
- Conducting training sessions and creating application documentation
- Planning and performing software updates, patches, and security measures
- Contributing to the further development of the application (new functions, optimizations)
- Supporting building automation configuration adjustments and the integration of new buildings
- Participating in operational emergency and security organization
Your profile:
- Completed training in computer science, business informatics, or building automation or equivalent qualification
- Experience in operating and supporting IT systems, ideally related to building automation
- Confident handling of Windows and Linux server environments
- Basic knowledge of networks, IT security, and patch management
- Knowledge of protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT) is an advantage
- Customer-oriented personality with high social competence
- Fluent German skills in spoken and written form
