Job Description

As a Minibar Attendant, you will play a key role within the In Room Dining department, ensuring that each room is perfectly stocked to offer our guests a privileged moment of relaxation.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the In Room Dining Supervisor, the responsibilities and essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Consistently providing professional, friendly, and engaging service
- Knowing the department concept (In Room Dining, amenities, minibar, and Pureaty Café)
- Participating in Minibar operations: checking the cleanliness of each room's minibars, ensuring no guest belongings are left behind, checking expiration dates of perishable products, restocking missing products, and charging consumed products via the telephone system
- Participating in VIP operations: knowing the different categories of amenities, codes, and corresponding setups, distributing amenities in rooms ensuring correct placement
- Providing discreet and efficient Minibar and VIP service, prioritizing guests' privacy and rest
- Being responsible for the proper execution of setups and preparation of your area in collaboration with your superior
- Ensuring the cleanliness and daily tidiness of Minibar and VIP carts as well as their respective offices
- Serving orders to guests in their rooms discreetly while offering perfect service
- Being responsible for guest satisfaction and well-being
- Ensuring guests lack nothing
- Participating in smooth service flow and informing the server of received information
- Participating effectively in assigned cleaning tasks
- Learning the technical and emotional standards of LQA (Leading Quality Assurance) and applying them
- Perfecting technical and theoretical knowledge to ensure perfect service for a demanding clientele
- Clearing floors at the end of the day
- Communicating any potential problems to your superior
- Informing guests as needed and doing what is necessary to find information for guests
- Being flexible and cooperative in all circumstances, especially if required to work in another department occasionally
- Participating in an annual performance review with your superior
- Committing to the quality of your service, discretion, and perfect honesty
- Maintaining a professional attitude, smiling, and staying calm at all times
- Respecting ergonomic work standards, health & safety rules, hygiene, and sanitary prescriptions
- Respecting the department and company policies, procedures, and service standards
- Any other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Recognized service diploma with practical experience is an asset
- Good verbal knowledge of the French language
- Knowledge of the English language
- Knowledge of a third language is an asset
- Basic knowledge in F&B
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good presentation, neat and conscientious
- Ability to work alone and in a team
- Flexibility in working hours

To work in Switzerland, the candidate must hold a Swiss work permit or be from an EU-17 or EU-8 European country.
