Your tasks:
- Safety controlling
- Continuously monitors the power plant processes by participating in meetings, through discussions with employees, and by plant tours, and evaluates the existing safety margins and the current safety status
- Reports quarterly to management, power plant management, and the Internal Safety Committee (ISA) on the status and development of safety as well as its assessment
- Visualizes the current safety status for stakeholders using appropriate indicators and their trends in safety and safety culture
- Supports programs to promote safety culture and safety awareness
- Supports training and further education in the areas of nuclear safety and safety culture through own contributions
- Keeps up to date with knowledge on nuclear safety and safety culture through national and international exchange of experience and targeted participation in relevant committees, especially within the framework of the IAEA, WANO, INPO, and VGB
- Ensures that all employees have the opportunity to report deficits and concerns relevant to safety (ombudsman function, confidential and anonymous) detection procedures
- Organization of external reviews (WANO, OSART, etc.)
Your profile:
- Basic education: university degree as mechanical engineer, electrical engineer, physicist, or work psychologist
- Additional training: participation in a WANO Peer Review as a member of the Peer Review Team knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of safety culture and safety management
- Leadership experience is an advantage
- Analytical thinking, communicative and cooperative leadership behavior
- Knowledge of the plant in technical, organizational, and administrative aspects
- Knowledge of legal and licensing requirements
- IT skills (MS Office applications, process informatics tools)
- Basic knowledge in event analysis (analysis techniques, analysis methods, interview techniques, data evaluation)
- Additional requirements: Positive risk clearance according to VAPK
- Languages: German, English (requirement)
