The Gasthof zum Goldenen Sternen is not only a charming city establishment with the noble à la Carte restaurant, the idyllic courtyard garden (each 85 seats) and the „Rheinterrasse“, the summer restaurant on the Rhine (50 seats), but also the oldest inn in Basel. It invites a wide range of guests from the city and the region, as well as business people and travelers from all over the world, to linger and enjoy a variety of culinary delights. The icing on the cake is the praised Fischergalge. You can't get closer to the Rhine.

Whether fish in pure R(h)ein culture or meat traditionally and consciously from the region - popular «Sternen classics» must not be missing from the menu: For people who appreciate enjoyment and honest hospitality.

We are looking for you to support us by arrangement as:

Cook (80%-100%)

Your tasks

• Mise-en-place for the preparation of dishes
• Preparation of à la Carte and banquet dishes
• Plating the dishes as requested by the head chef or deputy
• Prompt and clean work
• Efficient work with minimal waste
• Keeping your own workplace clean
• Cleaning tasks according to cleaning plan/HACCP
• Checking stocks and timely notification of shortages, passing on the required orders to the head chef or deputy head chef
• Support at other workstations in the kitchen as needed
• Other tasks according to supervisor's instructions
