Your new role
You actively accompany the children while playing, cooking, arguing, crafting, and implementing their ideas and concerns. Together with a team member, you share responsibility for the West location. This includes planning and implementing various offerings such as children’s, girls’ and boys’ groups as well as networking, prevention, and public relations work. You develop and carry out activities together with children and also participate in other offerings of open work with children, such as the children’s construction site. With your commitment, you contribute to an attractive and livable city.
This position is for you if you
- Have a university of applied sciences degree in social work.
- Bring experience and joy in open work with children.
- Possess pronounced social skills such as communication and cooperation skills, conflict resolution ability, and empathy.
- Bring enthusiasm for direct, low-threshold, participatory work with children and remain calm even in lively and unexpected situations.
- Have experience with the approach of New Authority and appreciate professionally sound and reflective work.
- Are willing to work flexibly.
- Are not unsettled by manual tasks.

The Children, Youth and Family Department is a specialist office for children and young people between 6 and 26 years old, their caregivers, and other interested adults. It takes on tasks such as counseling, providing information, supporting ideas, and accompanying leisure and meeting offerings for children and youth.
The Open Work with Children department is responsible for planning and implementing various low-threshold, participatory, socio-pedagogically supervised leisure activities for children of primary school age. It offers different learning fields for children and supports them in their personal development.
