Environmental Science Specialist - Energy Technology Environment - m/f
In this exciting position, you will support the planning, realization, and maintenance of network construction projects in the Swiss transmission network as an environmental expert. As part of the team, you take on a central role in environmental matters and make an important contribution to the further development of the ecological quality of projects and facilities.
Your area of responsibility
- Professional advice to project management and maintenance managers on nature and landscape protection (e.g., compensatory measures, small structures, invasive plants, bird protection).
- Responsibility for quality control in the environmental area in all project phases: planning, permit approval, realization, and management.
- Interface to external environmental planning and engineering offices: definition of standard specifications and report templates, review of implementation, ensuring the quality of environmental reports (UVB, UN, UBB, etc.).
- Conducting inspections and audits for quality control in the environmental area.
- Support for internal and external projects related to vegetation management and ecological infrastructure in the corridor.
Your profile
- Completed studies in environmental sciences (at least Bachelor), e.g., forestry, environmental natural sciences, or environmental engineering sciences.
- At least 3 years of experience in projects with environmental impact assessments and/or in official approval procedures.
- Interest in environmental and procedural legal issues.
- Advantageous: knowledge in vegetation management.
- Advantageous: experience with environmental and soil-related construction supervision including assessment of work progress.
- Advantageous: professional experience in construction projects of electrical networks or other network infrastructures.
- Responsible and team-oriented personality with social skills
- Language skills: French and Italian: at least C1 (fluent / business fluent), German: at least B2
- Your place of residence is in Switzerland
