Your role
- Lead, build and scale our algo trading team, fostering innovation, cross-team-collaboration and disciplined execution in a highly volatile and competitive environment
- Develop, deploy and continuously improve cutting-edge strategies for European short-term power markets in a highly collaborative setup
- Take ownership of algorithmic trading performance and the associated P&L
- Guide analysis and enhancement of algorithmic models for speculative and asset-based approaches (e.g. BESS)
- Collaborate closely with intraday trading teams to ensure seamless 24/7 market coverage among different geographical locations
- Monitor market developments, identify opportunities and drive our ambition to become a leading force in European electricity markets
Your skills
- Proven track record in algorithmic or quantitative trading, ideally in power or energy markets
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to build and mentor high-performing teams
- Deep understanding of the technical requirements for successful algo-trading and ability to coordinate them with stakeholders
- Excellent programming skills (e.g. Python), with a focus on scalable, real-time execution applications
- Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability, balancing innovation with risk discipline
- Fluency in English is mandatory, additional language skills are beneficial
