The Zug Cantonal Hospital is dedicated to the health of the population of the canton of Zug and the surrounding regions. Around 1,200 employees, including 180 in training and further education, work in various areas. Every year, we treat and care for over 11,500 inpatient and over 70,000 outpatient patients. More than 27,500 people are treated annually in the interdisciplinary emergency center. With the new Siemens Naeotom Alpha.Pro and Siemens Somatom X.ceed, we set standards in CT imaging throughout Switzerland. In addition, our range of services includes magnetic resonance imaging (3.0T GE, 1.5T Siemens), interventional radiology including angiography (Philips), digital X-ray imaging (DR), as well as mammography (including CEM and VAB) and sonography. Due to the retirement of our long-standing employee, we are looking for a Deputy Head Radiology Specialists for our Radiology department from July 1, 2026 or by arrangement.
Your Tasks
- Active shaping of the future of radiology – both in the application of the latest technologies and in the continuous development of our processes and working methods
- Bringing in solid expertise in all modalities: MR, CT, angiography, conventional X-ray, mammography, and ultrasound
- Co-responsibility for technology, quality assurance, and – most importantly – the well-being of our patients
- Representing the management: personnel, organizational, and professional leadership of the radiology specialists (24 employees)
- Shifts during core working hours as well as night and weekend duty – based on flexible and forward-looking team planning
Your Profile
- Completed training as a radiology specialist HF and ideally some initial leadership experience or willingness to complete corresponding further training
- Ability to develop a team, motivate people, and positively accompany change
- Technical understanding as well as a high quality standard
- Enjoyment of interprofessional and interdisciplinary collaboration
