Job description
The EMS "LA PROVVIDENZA" is a long-term medical-social facility with 64 single rooms intended for elderly people. Located in the historic district of Carouge, it offers a warm and secure environment.
As part of a sick leave and maternity replacement, we are looking for:
GENERAL CARE NURSE M/F 80%
Under the responsibility of the head nurse and as a care professional, you will provide daily care to our residents for their well-being, taking into account their lifestyle habits and wishes and respecting the ethical charter.
You will actively participate in the care project and the residents' support project in an interdisciplinary team and ensure the traceability of information.
Your main tasks:
- Administer treatments;
- Provide personalized nursing care;
- Ensure follow-up of medical visits;
- Strictly observe hygiene and safety rules;
- Accurately maintain computerized care records;
- Support and guide the nursing assistant team in carrying out their tasks (must ensure follow-up and control of any delegated acts);
- Participate in the development of numerous interdisciplinary projects: palliative care, individualized support projects, targeted transmissions…
Profile sought
- Bachelor of Science HES-SO in Nursing (practice rights in the Canton of Geneva and diploma recognition) or equivalent;
- Successful experience of 3 to 5 years in geriatrics and/or psychogeriatrics;
- Kind and respectful by nature, you have a genuine interest in working with the elderly,
- Responsible, organized and autonomous, you are a real driving force for the team,
- You have a sense of interdisciplinary work,
- You have a developed sense of reflection and possess a critical mind that allows you to have a global vision of resident care;
- Great flexibility and availability for this position is imperative
- Native French speaker;
- Good command of computer tools (ideally the DIR of Sadies), knowledge of targeted transmissions.
Contractual conditions
- Maximum duration contract until September 2026
- Activity rate: 80%
- Salary class: 15
- Start date: Immediately
