The Emma Couvreu Children's Foundation has been actively engaged since 1829 in welcoming, protecting, and supporting minors in danger in their development. Our services are aimed at children and also at their parents. We implement our actions in accordance with values that we embody every day. Our activities are fully aligned with the child protection policy established by the State of Vaud. With its commitment, the Foundation manages 5 boarding schools and 6 outpatient units, mobilizing more than 250 staff members. As part of the Pompaples Children's Home - Saint-Loup Home, the Foundation is establishing a position for an intervenor in mediated visits. This role complements the support offered by the children's home by ensuring mediation and support for meetings between a minor and one of their parents, mandated by the child protection authorities. To implement this new service, the Pompaples Children's Home is offering a position of:
intervenor in mediated visits at 50% (with the possibility of occasional interventions within the FEEC visitation rights system)
The position requires availability during the week, as well as occasionally on weekends, depending on mandates and needs, with the possibility of following certain situations within the FEEC visitation rights system. Job description

Facilitate the reconciliation of parent-child relationships in a context of separation.
Ensure the preservation of personal relationships in contexts requiring heightened vigilance.

Support interactions between the parent and the child, thus facilitating the conduct of visits and relational adjustments.
Contribute to the assessment of parental skills and support their continuous development.
Offer parents an understanding of their child that effectively translates their needs and behavior and contributes to strengthening parental skills.
Write administrative documents related to the support provided and actively participate in associated review meetings.

Your profile

Bachelor’s degree in social education or psychology, or a qualification deemed equivalent.
Significant experience and ongoing training in the field of child protection and parenting.
Excellent knowledge of the field of social education and the associated tools.
Proven ability to manage meetings with parents and children facing behavioral and/or personality disorders.
Ability to maintain one's own safety and emotional stability; ease in adopting an assertive posture and positioning oneself effectively.
Ability to invest, develop, and adapt in a model under construction.
