Company Description
The Official Youth Foundation (FOJ) aims to promote the psycho-social development of children, adolescents, and young people in difficulty, in collaboration with parents and partner institutions. Bound by a service contract with the State of Geneva, the FOJ is committed to protecting and defending the interests of the child.
Serving families in the canton, it operates through four main areas of action: child welfare , emergency reception , family support and preparation for autonomy .
To fulfill its mission, the institution manages 47 structures across the Canton of Geneva and has 500 places for minors and young adults, offering outpatient educational services at home. The FOJ is composed of 670 employees.
To successfully carry out its mission, the FOJ is looking for a housekeeping employee for the Maison Yamba , an emergency shelter welcoming babies and very young children aged 0 to 5 years.
Job Description
Your role will notably consist of:
- Ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of the various common living areas of the shelter
- Managing the stock of cleaning products and ensuring their replenishment as needed
- Ensuring the proper functioning, maintenance, and appropriate use of the machines used
- Occasionally and as a secondary task, contributing to the cleaning and maintenance of personal laundry and textiles of the shelter (bedding, towels, curtains, etc.)
- Applying safety regulations at work
- Maintaining good collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and contributing to maintaining a respectful and caring atmosphere with the young beneficiaries of the shelter.
Start date : April 15, 2026
Activity rate : 60%
Contract type : Permanent contract (CDI)
Class : 06 according to the salary scale of the State of Geneva

Qualifications
- AFP diploma as a housekeeping employee or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role; experience in early childhood is an asset
- Excellent oral comprehension and expression in French and basic written skills
- Basic computer skills (email – internal tools)
- Comfort with very young children and interest in residential work
- Organizational skills, autonomy, speed of execution, and attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills, team spirit, and service orientation
- High discretion and strict respect for confidentiality
- Physical aptitude in line with the job requirements.

Possession of a driving license (B)
Be Swiss nationality or hold a valid work permit.
