Your tasks
- As a member of the traffic technology team, you carry out all work related to markings and signaling in the road traffic network of the city of Lucerne.
- You are responsible for the preparation, transport, and installation of temporary signals.
- You move ground pieces and clean traffic lights as well as traffic signs.
- You perform preparatory work and measurements of markings according to plan.
- You carry out signaling and marking work.
- You share responsibility for maintenance work on signaling materials, devices, and machines.
- You usually work outdoors with your colleagues. During smaller and larger festivals, you also work on weekends, sometimes at night for markings.
Your profile
- You have completed a vocational training (EFZ, 3 to 4 years in metal construction, painting, or main construction trade) and general further education/seminars.
- You are physically fit, enjoy working outdoors and in a team.
- Your strengths include good communication skills and a confident appearance in public.
- You hold a driving license category B / C.
- You have application knowledge of common Office programs.
- You are flexible and willing to work outside usual hours (e.g., night and weekend work).
