Job Description
At Fairmont Le Montreux Palace, the art of dining goes beyond flavors and exquisite dishes. As an F&B Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing and organizing the various food and beverage outlets, ensuring that every detail is taken care of to offer a unique and special experience to our guests.
You will be the essential link between the kitchen, dining, and management teams, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to the highest standards. Equipped with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, you will oversee events, coordinate reservations, and ensure that guest expectations are exceeded.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Under the responsibility of the F&B Director, the essential duties and functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Consistently provide professional, friendly, and engaging service
- Coordinate and provide administrative support for food and beverage outlets
- Be an operational support on outlets and events as necessary and depending on the seasonal aspect of the activity
- Act as a liaison between all food and beverage departments to keep them informed of daily updates and changes
- Be responsible for writing, translating, and printing menus for restaurants, bars, and In Room Dining
- Participate in meetings of the banquets/breakfast and F&B departments
- Communicate all F&B-related information to other hotel departments
- Monitor and manage TripAdvisor reviews for the restaurants
- Handle requests from small groups in outlets (without rooms) by negotiating all contract details with clients representing the hotel’s interests
- Optimize the occupancy of all F&B spaces (banquet and conference rooms and restaurants)
- Be responsible for reservations for restaurants, bars, Sunday brunches, and on-site reception
- Be present at all Sunday brunches and be in charge of welcoming guests as well as following up on satisfaction and personalized requests
- Manage reservations and follow-up of internal department guests (musicians, artists, providers, guest chefs, etc.)
- Be responsible for special F&B offers (Valentine’s Day, Easter, year-end celebrations, etc.)
- Create various marketing documents for the F&B department in collaboration with the Marketing Manager (menu support, flyers, promotional documents, etc.) as well as follow up on outlet promotions
- Assist in organizing F&B events (Hot Summer Night, special brunches, year-end festivities, special evenings)
- Ensure the update of various internet supports
- Establish comparative analyses and financial reporting for restaurants, bar, and brunch
- Be able to prepare a financial study upon request from F&B management
- Be at all times an operational support for activity peaks or various hotel events
- May be required to represent food and beverage management at internal meetings
- Commit to the quality of service, discretion, and perfect honesty
- Maintain a professional attitude, be smiling, and remain calm at all times
- Respect ergonomic work standards, health & safety rules, hygiene, and sanitary prescriptions
- Respect the policies, procedures, and service standards of the department and company
- Perform any other assigned tasks
Qualifications
- Previous experience in administration and food and beverage in hospitality
- Experience in 4* or 5* hotels is an asset
- Diploma from a hotel school is an asset
- Fluency in French and English
- Knowledge of German is an asset
- Particularly responsible, reliable, precise, and flexible
- Ability to work in a close-knit team, under pressure, and solve problems
- Knowledge of PMS (Property Management System) and Microsoft Windows applications
- Knowledge of InDesign software is an asset

To work in Switzerland, the candidate must possess a Swiss work permit or be from an EU-17 or EU-8 European country.
