What is the role about?
You are responsible for the technical beam welding processes at the Reinach site and ensure their quality and further development. At the same time, you develop parameters and programs for new applications, optimize processes, and act as the central technical contact point for internal departments and external partners.
What tasks will you take on?
- You take on the overall technical responsibility as Local Process Owner for all laser and electron beam welding systems and processes at the Reinach site
- You program and parameterize the systems for new products and actively drive process optimizations forward.
- You act as the central contact person for internal departments and external partners in case of system and process disruptions.
- You support pre-development and procurement projects in welding technology and create or review binding process specifications.
What do we expect from you?
- You have a completed technical degree in mechanical engineering – ideally complemented by certification as a welding engineer and basic knowledge in metallurgy of corrosion-resistant steels.
- You bring solid theoretical and practical expertise in laser and electron beam welding and can draw on several years of application experience.
- You communicate clearly, work in a team-oriented manner, and actively contribute to interdisciplinary collaboration.
- You preferably master the programming of beam welding systems and have pronounced methodological competence (e.g., FMEA, Lean Six Sigma, DOE).
- You convince with affinity for numbers and data, strong process understanding, and very good German and English skills.
