Job Description
Design, develop and maintain the programming of our welding robots used on our machines.
Create, analyze and improve trajectories and sequences defined by algorithms developed internally.
Work closely with the welding, automation and software engineering teams.
Participate in the validation and testing of systems to ensure compliance with functional requirements.
Write and maintain technical documentation.
Write functional analyses of the programs to be developed.
Provide support and maintenance for deployed systems.
Intercontinental travel to be expected (to be discussed).
Requirements
Education in robotics engineering or deemed equivalent.
Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial robot programming.
Senior profile sought.
Significant experience in industrial integration of 6-axis robots with management of additional axes.
Experience in real-time trajectory tracking will be an asset.
Mastery of ABB robot programming language RAPID.
Experience with ABB's offline simulation software RobotStudio.
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, etc.)
Dynamic, pragmatic and autonomous personality, with good interpersonal skills and a strong technical culture.
Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is necessary (internal training possible).
