To complete our team at the Internal Medicine department of the Regional Hospital of Bellinzona and Valli (ORBV), Bellinzona site, we are looking for a

Head Physician (with possibility of role advancement) in Internal Medicine (100%)

The Internal Medicine department of the Regional Hospital of Bellinzona and Valli (sites in Bellinzona, Faido, and Acquarossa) is an integral part of the Cantonal Hospital Entity (www.eoc.ch).

It is recognized as a professional training center, category A, with a wide multidisciplinary case load and involves collaborators not only in care but also in research and training.

The peripheral hospitals located in Leventina (Faido) and Blenio valley (Acquarossa) complete the case profile in a dynamic of greater autonomy.

The medical team consists of 35 assistant physicians, 12 chief clinicians, and numerous senior staff belonging to various disciplines of internal medicine.

Profile:

The physician we are looking for has professional experience and autonomy, as well as motivation, initiative, and a spirit of collaboration.

They believe, as we do, in the importance of putting the patient and their family at the center of all our attention.

Requirements:

• hold a medical degree and a specialization title in Internal Medicine (for foreign titles, MEBEKO recognition must already be obtained before starting the activity). They must also have registered their Italian language skills (minimum level B2) in Medreg before starting, according to the new LPMed provisions effective from January 1, 2018;
• good knowledge of another national language besides Italian (French, German) and possibly English is desirable;
• certificate of free practice in Canton Ticino obtained before starting at our Institute;
• solid clinical experience in internal medicine;
• training in ultrasound (preferential criterion) and possibly also a tutor title from SGUM;
• clinical experience gained in Switzerland (preferential criterion);
• teaching skills.
