About the job
We are currently looking to recruit a key role in our organisation:
IT Manager
The role oversees all Symbios’ IT activities and support services, excluding software development. The IT Manager defines and implements the IT strategy to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards across all Symbios sites. He/she is responsible for the operational management of the human and material resources needed to maintain IT infrastructure and services, and to ensure business continuity for mission‑critical IT systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the IT Infrastructure team, define the strategy, and oversee all related projects.
- Own and improve all IT infrastructure processes across Switzerland and all Symbios entities.
- Ensure reliability of all company IT systems, including mission‑critical platforms.
- Set and monitor SLAs for key systems (ERP, MES) to protect business continuity.
- Support ERP/MES evolution, coordinating between external providers and internal stakeholders.
- Drive digitization initiatives and propose technology improvements with business leaders.
- Manage core infrastructure and services (networks, servers, cloud, workplace, telecom).
- Ensure cybersecurity and information security, including policies, monitoring, DRP/BCP, and compliance.
- Oversee IT operations and support, including helpdesk, incident/problem/change management, and asset/license management.
- Manage resources, vendors, and team engagement, while promoting Symbios’ culture and ensuring effective collaboration across departments.
Profile we are looking for:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of experience in managing an IT department within an industrial company
- Proven experience with infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity and systems (multi-site networks, ERP, MES, cloud, etc)
- Solid experience in managing IT projects (deployments, migrations, infrastructure upgrades) is essential
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity practices and risk mitigation
- Strong technical competence and ability to adapt to evolving technologies in order to support industrial processes, automation and digital transformation
- Strong people manager skills with proven capability to empower, motivate and develop others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong leadership presence, while being able to influence and get results at all levels in the organization.
- Languages: Fluent in French and English is a must.
