As part of the Education Directorate of the Canton of Zurich, the Office for Youth and Career Counseling (AJB) is responsible for services in the area of child and youth welfare as well as career counseling. Children, adolescents, and families are at the center of our work. We dedicate ourselves to them daily with great passion and commitment.
The Information Agency (INA) of the AJB designs and produces all communication materials of the office. In addition, it advises and supports the management and specialists on various communication matters.
Starting March 1, 2026, or by arrangement, we are looking for an experienced editor in the INA for the topics of career choice, studies, and career path.
Your tasks
- You are responsible for and write two issues per year of the series "Perspectives: Fields of Study and Areas of Activity."
- In a 4-year cycle, you will thus deal extensively with eight subject areas – from ancient studies to veterinary medicine.
- Depending on capacity and workload, you support the text team in writing and proofreading texts for AJB target groups.
Your profile
- Several years of experience in publishing, journalism, or corporate communications
- Completed university or university of applied sciences degree
- Proficient use of the German language and grammar
- Interest in the topics of career choice, studies, and career path – especially university studies (Uni, ETH, FH), research, and labor market
- Enjoyment in exchanging with professionals, students, and professionals
- Structured, pragmatic, and independent working style
- Open, service-oriented, and uncomplicated manner
