About the job
At the Department of Private Law of the University of Bern, Prof. Dr. Martin Eggel's Section, an assistant position with a focus on the Swiss Civil Code (50-100%) is to be filled as of February 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Your tasks:
The work essentially includes participation in teaching (lectures, seminars, exercises, support with grading, supervision of students) as well as collaboration on research projects, especially scientific publications. If suitably qualified and interested, teaching duties (conducting exercises) are also possible.
What we are looking for:
A reliable and team-oriented person who can demonstrate an above-average degree in law (possibly also a lawyer's license), has an interest in civil law, and enjoys scientific work (writing a dissertation is desired and supported).
