About the job
In Belp, we offer a home with integrated work for four people with autism in a small outdoor community. They live in a house with a garden in small apartments.
From April or by arrangement, we offer a 60% position as a Social Pedagogue / Care Specialist.
You will accompany four residents from young to middle age with very pronounced autism spectrum and partly psychological impairments. All residents rely on intensive support in everyday life and accompaniment with sometimes very demanding coping strategies. These can include severe impulse breakthroughs.
Mostly in one-on-one accompanied sequences, you use the tasks that arise to offer them platforms for activity, participation, and trust-building. You accompany them through daily life activities such as personal care, dressing, and meals, through work such as cooking, washing, shopping, environmental and workshop tasks, and through movement offers. In coaching conversations, you support them in reflecting on their fears and worries. All activities are interwoven both spatially and temporally and individually structured.
The team shares the team leadership responsibility as a self-managing team.
We offer:
- An exciting and versatile job with many opportunities for co-creation
- Stimulating moments of accompaniment and retreat options for breaks so that you can recharge even in stressful moments
- Great, humorous, and committed team colleagues
- Careful onboarding
- Coordinated times for intensive individual support of the residents
- Internal training with a focus on ASD
- Free parking spaces
- Salary and social benefits according to cantonal guidelines
- Work in a committed, qualified, and mindful team
- Monthly team retreats with internal professional consultation
- Full (undivided) day shifts without night shifts
We expect:
- Training as a social pedagogue or care specialist or equivalent qualification
- Enjoyment of open and constructive collaboration
- Willingness for specific pedagogical engagement
- Knowledge in kitchen, household, and environmental work
- Willingness for irregular working hours including evening and weekend shifts
- Driver's license, category B desired
