The research unit Landscape Dynamics examines patterns and processes of land systems and their dynamics on various spatial and temporal scales. As part of the SNF-funded project "DISCLOSE - The digital transformation of planning," the Land Use Systems group is looking for a committed and qualified person from January 1, 2026 for a duration of up to one year to support our interdisciplinary team as
The research project investigates how digital technologies and data change spatial planning practice and what impact this has on key values such as transparency, fairness, and efficiency. The goal is to develop a theoretical model that describes the interaction of people, technologies, and planning processes and provides the basis for a reflective digitalization of planning. Your tasks include collaborating in the research team, especially preparing and analyzing data, conducting literature reviews, and supporting workshops.
You are enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in a relevant field such as spatial planning, geography, urban studies, or social sciences. You are interested in topics of urban and spatial planning and their connection to digitalization and have basic knowledge of qualitative and quantitative analysis methods. You communicate fluently in German and English, work independently, carefully, and reliably, and are characterized by team orientation and communication skills.
