About the job
The World Economic Forum, committed to improving the state of the world, is the international organization for public-private cooperation.
The Forum engages the foremost political, business and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.
Why we are recruiting
For six years, the Forum has convened a global coalition of multinational companies through the Reporting for Business Resilience Initiative (formerly Stakeholder Metrics Initiative), that collectively supports a globally-aligned system for sustainability reporting that can provide consistent and comparable information to investors on sustainability-related drivers of risk and value. The Initiative has played a catalytic role in advancing global convergence in sustainability disclosure, identifying a core set of decision-useful metrics that could support communication of long-term value creation. A central objective of the initiative has been to catalyse progress towards a systemic solution, such as a generally accepted international accounting standard in this respect. This work contributed to the consolidation of voluntary frameworks and informed the establishment of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB).
The global reporting landscape is now entering a more complex phase. The ISSB Standards are emerging as a global baseline, but the emergence of jurisdictional-specific approaches are leading to fragmentation across key jurisdictions, driven by political, legal, and competitiveness considerations.
